For Chris Telzerow, his family and church came first, but as many of us know, he also loved to play golf. Just three weeks before Chris lost his battle to liver cancer, he was on the golf course – thin and yellow, but still gutting it out for 18 holes at Stonewater in Highland Heights. On Tuesday June 30th of this year, we will be honoring that memory and raising money for the Telzerow family with a golf outing in Chris’ name. We hope that all of you will mark the date on your calendars and join us on that date.
Jerry Bruno will be an instructor for Community Partnership for Arts and Culture’s upcoming presentation of “The Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute.” Jerry will be one of a panel of experts discussing “Pricing in Practice,” covering topics including how artists set their prices, pricing adjustments and discounts, markets, and how pricing is impacted when using different channels such as online or through agencies.
The Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute, or AEI, is a three-day workshop where artists of all disciplines will be introduced to a variety of topics to help them understand the business of art. Local artists, lawyers, community and business leaders will present topics for artists of all career levels.
The Institute will be held March 13-15 at the Gallery at Trinity Commons, 2230 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. Visit the CPAC web site for more information.
The Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) is a nonprofit arts and culture service organization dedicated to Northeast Ohio’s arts and culture sector. CPAC strengthens the sector’s capacity, resulting in a vibrant quality of life, better educational opportunities and a strong economy.

We’ve enjoyed watching our old friend Billy Hufsey on VH1’s Confessions of a Teen Idol. If you watched the show, you know that Billy is from Cleveland and still spends a lot of time here.
A few years ago Billy was a featured act at Jerry Bruno Productions, and the two had a good working relationship. In 2001, prior to joining Jerry Bruno Productions, Communications Manager Leigh Peterson (also of The Avenue) worked with Billy at Carousel Dinner Theatre, where he was starring in their holiday show, Razzle Dazzle. So everyone here at Jerry Bruno Productions can attest to Billy’s perennial talent and tenacious drive. It’s nice to see him get some exposure that attests to that.
What’s next for Bily Hufsey? A cd release party in – where else – Cleveland! April 3, 2009 at at Heaven and Earth (formerly the Odeon) on the East Bank of the Flats downtown. Doors will open at 7:30 PM and Billy will perform at 8:30 PM. It is Free Admission to the party!
…that’s what two of our brides must have exclaimed when they noticed Beachwood native Stephen Fowler crooning on American Idol over the past couple weeks.
We’re keeping an eye on Stephen, a wonderful singer who has made it into the top 36 of Season 8. Stephen has performed around town with our own extremely talented Sherena Wynn. When another of our musicians, Jon Blair, saw Stephen performing with Sherena, Jon was blown away and asked Stephen to join him at two weddings brides had booked him for through Jerry Bruno Productions.
We hadn’t heard much from Stephen, and now we know why! He’s been wrapped up in all the excitement that American Idol produces, much like another of our singers, Tiffany Marchak of The Avenue did when she went to Hollywood Week during Season 2.
With all this talent right here in Cleveland and right here at Jerry Bruno Productions, it’s easy to see that Cleveland does indeed still rock!
