Nate Jones – Guitar and Vocals
Nate Jones is a young singer/songwriter who carves his folky, soulful sound from the same bedrock as Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Stephen Stills. Jones is a troubadour in the old-school tradition. A Cleveland native, he launched his music career while attending college in New Orleans. The town left its swampy mark on Jones, who became a regular performer at venues like Tipitina’s and Howlin’ Wolf Club, where he spiked his coffeehouse folk songs with soulful vocal melodies and intricate, funky fretwork on the acoustic guitar.
After growing his following with club dates across the country, he returned to Cleveland and teamed up with pop producer Dave Douglas (former drummer and founding member of the Grammy-nominated pop-punk band Relient K). Nate can also be booked with his full band, The Nate Jones Band.
Cleveland Vault/Rock Hall of Fame Gig
Tony Howard was a pleasure to work with. Very responsive, knowledgeable, and his selections were spot on. I gave him very little time to work and he came through in more ways than one.
My corporate client was shocked by the quality and professionalism of the two artists we hired very last minute. Laura Varcho and her guys were the perfect musical accompaniment for our speakeasy themed event and went out of their way to match the theme and genre requests.
Nate Jones braved the early May Cleveland cold to welcome our guests to the Rock N Hall of Fame. He arrived early and played beyond his contracted time because of shifting timelines. Great mix of classic and modern hits. I even caught him playing songs from OH heroes The Black Keys! Perfect combination of local flavor for such hallowed grounds.Brad StrouseAug 20, 2017Vault Cleveland/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Our Wedding Music
Nate Jones and his backup singer Michelle played the most beautiful music at our wedding ceremony and reception! They added the perfect touch to the wedding and I haven’t stopped hearing compliments since! From Beatles to Calvin Harris, old, new, fast, and slow. They did it all (better than originals!) We loved the instrumental and vocals more than we could ever explain.Kristin and Rich HanesOct 16, 2015Cleveland Botanical Garden
