Phil Talbot and Wes McCraw are two of Northeast Ohio’s best and most entertaining musicians. As a duo, they perform as The Travelin’ Johnsons. Phil Talbot, a former member of classic rock music icons The Outsiders, brings with him a seemingly limitless catalog of songs both old and new. Partner Wes McCraw is among the “A” list of Northeast Ohio session guitarists and has produced music for such companies as Hasbro Toys, American Greetings and PBS. Both are former members of 20 year Put-in-Bay veterans, Calabash.
With a fan-friendly performance style and a set list that draws from Modern/Classic Rock, Blues, and Jazz, The Travelin’ Johnsons have something for everyone. Come and spend an evening with the Travelin Johnsons and see what people are talking about.
The addition of Tim Tench creates the trio known as A.K.A. The band’s set list draws from modern/classic rock, funk, dance, blues, and oldies.
We have used Phil Talbot and the Travlin’ Johnsons twice and both times they have exceeded our expectations. We love them and can’t wait till our next event.Kristin Lewis, Fairmount MineralsAug 28, 2011Marriott Key Center
AKA set the perfect Rock and Roll atmosphere we were looking for without being a ‘dance band.’ They have an amazing breadth of songs – and the pipes on these guys – WOW. It exceeded my expectations.Jules Million, US Law Network eventAug 11, 2011Rock N Roll Hall of Fame
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!! Everyone at the event kept asking, ‘Where did you find this band, they are GREAT!’ Kept the guests dancing and fulfilled all the requests! They were wonderful! We enjoyed them very much and their music appeals to an audience of all ages. The Travlin’ Johnsons not only harmonize beautifully together, they are amazing musicians. They both play the guitar and at the same time, they are playing percussion instruments with their feet. It is amazing! Everyone in the Fox 8 studio was tapping their feet. I would have them back anytime.Margaret Daykin, Planning Producer, Fox 8 News in the MorningNov 17, 2008
