Evan Foltz is the newest Talent Specialist to join the Cleveland Music Group team.
Evan began professionally DJing in 2011 and his journey with CMG started in 2014. He trained directly with our owner, DJ Scott E. Jones, assisting him at events and weddings for two years.
Evan is now in the Cleveland Music Group office full time and is a great addition to our team! Read on to learn more about him.

As a classically trained musician who holds a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance from The University of Akron, Evan has spent years performing on stage in various capacities. His experience performing on trumpet with several wedding bands, and his time spent making crowds bounce from behind the DJ mixer has made him a great resource here in the office as a Talent Specialist. Evan is proud of his organizational skills and is always ready to go the extra mile to help out our clients!
Q & A with DJ Evan Foltz
Q: How did you get into DJing?
A: I grew up around it! My father was a radio host during the week and a wedding/special event DJ on the weekends. I remember going to gigs with him when I was pretty young, helping plug in speakers and dust off records. After studying music in school, I really wanted to find a way to stay involved in music and be a performer on stage. That’s when I started to take control of the mixer and turn DJing into my full time job.
Q: What is your favorite part about being a DJ?
A: My favorite part about being a DJ is watching the crowd react when the mix is just right! Creating a mix that makes people smile and jump around without a care in the world is so much fun!
Q: If you could perform at any venue, where would it be?
A: I’d love to perform at a big music festival someday – you know, when I hit it big as an electronic music producer 😉
Q: What is your most memorable experience at an event?
A: It’s not event specific, but I really enjoy doing Anniversary Dances at weddings. It’s so cool to see who has been married the longest in the room and then have the bride and groom join them on the dance floor. The last wedding I did this at, I had a couple that had been married 60 years and the newlyweds who were married for less than 6 hours dancing side by side. It really makes for a special moment every time.
Q: If you weren’t a DJ, what would you be doing?
A: I have a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance from U of A, so if I wasn’t a DJ you’d probably find me playing trumpet in as many bands as I could juggle.
When Evan is not on stage or in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lexi, and attending concerts all over the Midwest.
