In case you missed it last night, our own master magician and world record holding card thrower Rick Smith, Jr (also fiance of Tiffany Marchak, singer in The Avenue) did a great job on America’s Got Talent! After performing this feat, the judges invited Rick to go to the next round in Vegas. He appeared again on July 7th in a Vegas week montage, where he threw playing cards at and popped large confetti-filled balloons above the judges heads.
Rick won’t be going to Los Angeles to be judged by America, but the verdict was already in as Rick has many other prior TV appearances under his belt, from Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The sales and promotions manager at Jerry Bruno Productions and band leader/singer in The Avenue is one of those who is involved in entertainment “because we have to,” as another actress was quoted as saying in an April 25, 2010 Plain Dealer article. I’ve always wanted to be called popular. Today it happened. Google Headquarters sent us this letter:
Congratulations! You’re a Favorite Place on Google. Between July 1 and September 30, Google users found your Jerry Bruno Productions business listing 9,545 times, and requested driving directions or other information about your business 410 times.
Because you’re so popular, were enclosing a window decal that shows customers you’re a “Favorite Place on Google.” The sticker includes a special bar code that potential customers may scan with cameras on their phones. Then they can see your business listing on Google, read and write reviews, and add you as a favorite right there. We encourage you to put up this decal so potential customers know that you’re a Favorite Place on Google.
Ok, Google, whatever you say! The decal is up on our door. If you come see us and you have one of these scanning do-hickies on your phone, feel free to scan away!
We would like to thank our clients and friends for all your votes for us in the 2009 Fox 8 Hot List Contest! After being in third place for the past two years, we made second place this year!
We are entered in this particular contest as a full-service agency, but many of our bands also run as well. So we were very pleased to see that spots 3-5 were taken up by bands from our roster! Redline took the third spot, Heart & Soul placed fourth, and Rick & the Cutting Edge won fifth place.
This couldn’t have happened without our happy clients and supporters taking time out of their day to vote for us. We sincerely appreciate this effort!
