Description
Michelle’s classical training began in 1993, studying most recently under the tutelage of a Professor at the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music. Michelle’s extensive training and experience as a Catholic Cantor and Soloist has enabled her to become one of Cleveland’s most highly sought after singers for wedding ceremonies and funeral/memorial masses. She sets herself apart from other soloists by singing both traditional and contemporary pieces with conviction and ease.
Having over 15 years of experience, Michelle is knowledgeable in ceremony proceedings and adept at selecting appropriate and compelling music. She is personable and enjoys working with families to plan the perfect music selections to enhance the ceremony. Her goal is to deliver beautiful singing while relieving a little of the stress that is sometimes associated with ceremony planning.
Michelle sings in approximately 40+ wedding ceremonies and 80+ funeral/memorial masses per year. She has worked in almost every Catholic Church in Northeast Ohio, and works easily with organists, pianists, string quartets, harpists, guitarists, and trumpet players. She is well-known and respected in the Cleveland Diocese.
In addition, Michelle is available for private parties as a soloist, and is also available as the leader, lead singer, and musician for her Pop/Rock Top 40 band, Michelle Romary Band, and her smaller acoustic version, Michelle Romary Trio. She can easily transition from providing music for your ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to reception.
Recent Highlights:
Michelle was recently hired by Michael T. Fiur Productions (New York, NY) on behalf of the United States Tennis Association to sing the Italian National Anthem at the Fed Cup 2014 held at Public Auditorium here in Cleveland, Ohio. The Fed Cup is the International Women’s Team Tennis Championship. This year the Cleveland matches in February featured team U.S.A. verses team Italy. Michelle was honored to sing the Italian National Anthem both days.
In December 2013, Michelle released her faith based album, “Songs of Comfort & Devotion.” This album features a collection of traditional, contemporary, and holiday songs that she frequently sings in the Catholic Church. In addition to these songs, this CD also features a love song that Michelle wrote called, “My Vow.” This is a beautiful song about love, and has been a perfect choice for the prelude, offertory, and unity candle portion of wedding ceremonies.
