Vince Menti spent a good part of his early musical career performing in rock bands in Northeast Ohio while teaching, doing studio work, and getting his degree from Cleveland State University.
During this time, Vince spent hours transcribing the classic standards of the 30s, 40s and beyond. Songs such as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore, My Funny Valentine and Satin Doll are staples in his regular performances. His goal has been to allow one instrument–the guitar–play all the nuances of a full orchestral rendition while keeping the songs simple in structure and enjoyable to the casual listener.
With over 25 years of performing experience, Vince’s setup requires minimal space. His nylon string guitar keeps the volume well-controlled regardless of the venue.
