Devon Gess – Vocalist

Devon Gess, mezzo-soprano, is the Choral Director at Bay High School in Bay Village, Ohio. She is a Music Ed. major at CSU and graduated from Auburn University in June of 2000 with a degree in Choral Music Education. While at Auburn, Devon was a part of the Auburn University Concert Choir, Woman’s Choir, Opera Workshop, Chamber Ensemble, and AU Show Choir. She was a featured soloist in the AU Concert Choir and Chamber Ensemble. Devon held two leads in the Opera workshop, Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aneaus, and Bess in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.

Michelle’s classical training began in 1993, studying most recently under the tutelage of a Professor at the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music. Michelle’s extensive training and experience as a Catholic Cantor and Soloist has enabled her to become one of Cleveland’s most highly sought after singers for wedding ceremonies and funeral/memorial masses. She sets herself apart from other soloists by singing both traditional and contemporary pieces with conviction and ease.

Rosemarie Griffin was born and raised in Akron, OH and is a freelance harpist who has been performing professionally since 2001. Rosemarie has studied harp for the past 20 years. She has played at venues including The Cleveland Botanical Gardens, The Shoreby Club, Western Reserve Historical Society, Torrey Pines, Four Seasons (Austin, TX) and The Pine Lake Trout Club.

Michael Leamon – Pianist

A graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis, Michael Leamon began playing piano and providing music direction for musicals in college. After evolving from community theatre to professional summer stock productions and dinner theatre, he soon became the rehearsal pianist for Yul Brynner’s final go-round in “The King and I.” Also an experienced composer, Michael wrote music for two theatre pieces and a Dr. Seuss TV series featuring Jerry Springer as a narrator.
